This impressive Barn Conversion was a new home to our client's, but they wanted a large family room open to the kitchen, where family and friends could relax whilst indulging their passion for home prepared food!
Below you will see the stages as we progress through the design and build phase of this luxury, bespoke timber orangery.
The design illustration was approved and with Planning Permission in place work could commence.
The patio slabs were removed and the Orangery base with dwarf and parapet wall constructed note the matching sandstone cills.
Now the interesting part! A forest of acrows support the structure whilst old beams are removed to make way for the new steel.
Steel support "Needles" provide support to the first floor walls and roof! All under the guidance of our Structural Engineer.
With the smaller steel beams in place, the main 6 metre USB arrives!
The supporting brickwork is now removed, fast approaching the critical time to insert the main beam!
The steel beam is moved
slowly into position.
Nearly there - stand well back!!
Beam in position - a perfect fit!
Plastering and floor preparation.
The Orangery is up and
close to completion.
Ceiling and lanterns plastered with roof ventilator motors being fitted.
All complete with gas
bottle store and paving.
A stunning living space.
Somewhere to relax.
The kitchen blends perfectly into the open Orangery area.
A truly fabulous and inspired finish.
